F. SCOTT WINSLOW

Mr. Winslow began working, part time in high school as a patient transporter at Mount Sinai
hospital in Chicago where, after graduating from De Paul University, he began his noteworthy Hospital management career. Mr. Winslow worked his way through the management ranks and established himself as a top ranked operation executive.

Mr. Winslow has been in the health care arena for over 45 years and served as Regional CEO, CEO or COO of 13 hospitals and many Ambulatory Surgical Centers. During that time, he has achieved several impressive industry contributions. His experience spans Fortune Fifty investor operations, large teaching facilities, small community hospitals, as well as multi-unit administration. Mr. Winslow has completed the first successful consolidation of two hospitals in the state of Illinois and was heralded for his work in obstetrics development by Crains Chicago Business in 1987. In 1991 Modern Healthcare called him “as savvy as a real estate agent” in connection with a story on his hospital campus re-development plan. In 1997 the Wall Street Journal called him “a witty and informed spokesman on the issues" in connection with their column 1 story on his facility. He has spearheaded numerous innovations in the industry including: influencing state wide perinatal regulations, Illinois Supreme Court decisions on Department of Revenue property tax decisions, the first “freedom of information” act release of statewide planning data to hospitals as well as community medical practice development and public/private sector joint ventures. He conceived and orchestrated the first clinical outcomes research on Hispanic obstetrical patients published in 1996. His hospitals have seen dramatic multi-million dollar turn-arounds in their financial positions well as innovations in the fields of medical service organizations and group practice models. His varied administrative duties have seen him responsible for over a billion dollars of construction and renovation projects including, new hospital construction, land assemblages / acquisitions, lease negotiations and real estate sales.

He was an early innovator in off-campus business units and multi-location systems integration. His management career has always been marked by a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. His collaborations with contract service providers (such as Marriott Services) have led to the development of several new national business product lines for these providers. Mr. Winslow has authored several plans for healthcare development, re-development and “new platform” concepts that have appealed to combined audiences of investors, local government, and potential partners. Mr. Winslow was the CEO of Michael Reese Hospital and part of the corporate team from Columbia/HCA Healthcare who effected the sale of several Chicago Hospitals to various investors.  He has participated in many hospital acquisitions / divestitures. He served as the regional president for an investor owned Healthcare company responsible for multiple hospitals and surgical center operations, as well as a public a tertiary regional teaching authority. His entrepreneurial efforts include the Establishment and operation of CRC, a first of its kind consulting firm specializing in perfecting hospital claims under federal ERISA law where he grew this unique start up from zero to over three billion dollars of assigned business in under six months while becoming one of only a few, true, expert in the topic, lecturing nationally. Mr. Winslow now takes private consulting assignments on cutting-edge health care related issues.
